I'm offering same as last year.......Emergency service a few miles from the fairgrounds. No guarantees my jackstand-cars won't be hogging the garage but the doors and toolboxes will be opened for a HAMBr in distress. I have the redneck internet (know a guy that knows a guy) and will do my best for ya, including safe havens/trailering for a badly broken ride. Forewarning, you will be subjected to hair-metal, cause that's how we roll in this hood :)

I'll be there with a booth in the vender building involved in shameless self promotion :D It will be a working weekend for me but with all the beautiful cars around maybe working vacation is more accurate. Stop by if you get a chance. JW

  3. I'm thinking about selling at the swap meet. Is it very big? Good or so-so or bad?

    Thanks,

As a buyer, the swap meet either really ****s or really blows depending on your preferred air direction. Not very big, probably no more than 40 booths total, usually high prices. You'll get a lot of attention but I can't say if it'll translate into sales. The meet is so small people don't come to buy. Good luck!

doesn't draw a lot of sellers could be goodguys charges too much. but draws alot of people through it. maybe because it runs 3 days not too many sellers. instead of a Sunday only sale but Im betting goodguys is not a cheap swap meet for sellers

I have bought and sold at that swap meet and it is not bad but is a little cramped on space. I wouldn't knock it that much and the prices are not out of line with other meets. I disagree with some of the other comments but they are en***led to their opinions too. Free country.

not sure if I will make it or not - my wife is having back surgery so I may or may not be at the Good Guys this year - I will have all my stuff for sale.

Max Grundy & his wife will be at my table helping me out, so be sure to stop by and buy something from us - cause he is trying this midwest thing out and if it flops he wont be back!

Hopefully you will stop by and check out the DVD cover art he let us use for the Vintage Torque 3 - and if you want him to sign it - he will.

I apologize to anyone that was waiting for the footage of Des Moines from last year- since my wife has been unable to do anything - I have not been able to edit anything for the DVD. Thus - another delay.........

Hope to get this out in July at some point.

Come by and see MAX - he is very approachable and will let you know anything you wanna know about conspiracy theories! ha

    ok

I don't think a Meet and Greet has ever *officially* been set, besides Cob's Friday night gathering.

However, we have been meeting on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in front of one of the brick buildings on the very busy 'Main Drag' that you first cruise down when you get into the Fairgrounds. (not the road that leads you there, where they do the 'Photoline')

Here's a map showing part of the fairgrounds:
    http://maps.google.com/maps/mm?hl=en...09356&t=h&z=17

The building we've been meeting in front of is the Admin. building on the main corner - brick, "Plantation House" architecture with covered wrap-around porch. U-shaped building with a brown roof, in the link above.

    See ya there at 1:00!

I'll be there for sure, I'm sure Gary will, too. Not sure about Cob.

I'm the guy on the left in this photo, Cob is the tallest, then Gary on the far right.
If you see us, be sure to say "Hi"!

We will be there early Friday... hopefully before 10am, and then late Saturday, around 6pm for night shots and fireworks! (sorry to miss the meet & greet AGAIN! -- we have a wedding Saturday afternoon)

anyone going to be around Sunday night about 5pm? or perhaps know some local Des Moines kid that wants to earn some $$$?

I need help loading my truck! I am now totally paranoid about lifting heavy objects (my wife had back surgery this week) so any teenagers that wanna get some $$$ for putting **** in the truck - come on to the Good Guys in Des Moines - I can get you a free ticket into the show and give you some product or pay cash money.

I will not be at the booth on Friday or Saturday - I will be there Sunday - Max Grundy and his wife will be there at the booth helping out all weekend so be sure to stop by and say hey. We are directly across from the main Good Guys event booth in the big indoor building.
