We had a fantastic time...The staff was great to us,They put on a great show..would do it again if it was just alittle more politically correct on judgeing displays & clubs..The club that won over us are fantastic people that we have fun with all the time & will do so in the future.Im sure they will put their winnings over to their charity..the same as we would have.Im also glad you enjoyed our display...we worked it hard..but i guess it wasn't enough bringing in the roller derby & local pin up girls..So again Fun,But dissapointing. Thanks for the compliment!..The Oliver Clan
hmmmmm...not abad thought coming from a guy whos going to put on one of the baddest shows in Iowa!!!...with some of the best volunteers, venders, bands & car/bike people that there ever was!
sounds like there should be more pictures. The WOW show should be takin in the same light as any show that most of us would participate in.....FORGET about the trophies.... Make it fun. If you are with a club.. get everyone together and make a rad display. There are no politics. You pay your huge entrance fee and set-up your display. Have fun. At the end of the show, pack up and leave. What did I miss?
I wanted to go but things came up to where I couldn't make it. I live in Des Moines/Altoona and hate driving downtown for anything.
You are right...thats what we did..it wasnt about "A Trophy"...it was about $$ for our charity...So we was bummed about that.....but we had fun...and yes, that counts...We also talked to so many people in our area that had no idea that there was others doing stuff like this. ...so i think we made alot of new friends & that counts too....but as far as going for "a trophy" that was not what counted....but again,... the club that did win are great people...The chair of the show & those that helped are local...we made sure they know how well they did. as for WOW they can look for others next year....We will continue too do our best for our charity $$...Hope to get pics down loaded soon.
We have a party all the time..... ever in the area just pm us for a #..we will see you at the Torque fest for sure!
Way cool that you guys were gonna put the $$$ to the charity. Also cool that you haave opened a lot of eyes. We also need more pictures, for those of us who couldnt make the trip. I was all car showed out, did some things with my family... had fun!
Yes, we had a charity all picked out the could really use the money. We had over 15 entries in the show. Definatly more than the group that did win by twice. But I guess that is the way that the World of Wheels organization works. So as I stated before this is the 1st and only World of Wheels showing for our crew. In regards to the 2nd half of your message, I know since I have had my truck up and running it has brought many new guys and gals into our world! Talk with 1 younger girl at the show and she was all pumped to start working on her car.
What was the requirements for determining who won 1st place? Did the total number of entrants determine who won 1st place or was it also based on who had the best overall club display?
