Hot Rods Desoto 291 valve size question

Hey guys, give me your learned opinion,

Will these be too big for my heads,,,durability wise?
They are 2.02-1.60,,,the intake valve is awfully close to the spark plug hole.
Any thoughts?
I am thinking about cutting them down to 1.94?

I would say 2.02 is cutting it a little too close. My 341 has 1.94 intake valves in it from the factory and that seems a little close.
Weren't Desoto heads prone to cracking from the valve seat to the plug hole?

 

I am guessing you are right.
My feelings are that they are too close,,,,probably go with 1.94 size.
I was worried about cracking as well.
