QUOTE="SS327, post: 14713809, member: 306175"]First you get you a hippo paddle boat, 2 55 gallon drums sealed, and 2 logs and chain. Make it into a raft and put the Desota on it and toe it back across the river with the hippo paddle boat. Then you open the hood and see if it has a hemi in it. If not then tow it back across the river and put it back where you found it.[/QUOTE] I have some Cuban friends that can help you out.
I can’t believe I had never seen this thread! And, I haven’t laughed as hard in years as when the hippo boat showed up to the rescue. Good thing I wasn’t reading this one at work! Thanks for posting the link!!!
Yesterday, New Year's Day was a really good day for me. It just seemed that everything worked out the way it should. Today, the second New Year's Day of 2023, I turned on my computer and this thread was the first thing I saw. I was laughing so hard my wife came in to see if I was alright. She read it and we were both laughing. It's gonna be a good year.
No pictures, don't even tell us what year it is, how are we supposed to know? You are closest person or at least the one that knows where it is at so swim across the ***berland river and tell us.
For clarification, Desoto's received the Hemi from 1952-1957; first with the 276ci until 1954, then the 291ci in 1955, the 330ci in 1956, and the 341ci in 1957. I can literally tell you what year it is from even a blurry photo if you will provide one. Or tell me where it is in Kentucky and I'll Google Earth it and look at it from freaking satellites... Just need more information. ~Peter
NO! No, its too new. No, its too old. No, not every Desoto got a Hemi. No, someone already pulled it out. No, its been covered with water for so many years, if there even is still a motor, its a lump of rust now. No, but I could be wrong.
