Customer finally got his eelco 6x2 intake in after a big ordeal and when I test fit it distributor was hitting intake. Well i did not want to grind on the intake as it was pretty thin on the back side and so i decided to lower the distributor to clear the log intake. Stock one needed gone through and i had this sbc mallory laying around so i cut it down and machined an adapter ring. It all worked out good and was not too much trouble. Just though i would share in case anyone else is running into this problem.

This method should let you run a ton of different points or electronic distributors or magnetos that can be bought cheap in your desoto hemi. Damn now i think it needs a vertex.

Do you know if a Desoto distributor shaft will fit into a 318 distributor and make it a simple drop-in? Bill
