Wish I could help you, but I will bump this up. We need more Desoto stuff in the HEMI Tech topics. Please keep me posted on whatever you find and I will update the Tech to include your findings.

    Cheers...

    I'd look at 318 - 340 - 360 mopar lifters.

What's wrong with the old lifters? If you're just replacing the cam and require new lifters for that reason, the old ones can have the faces machined. I had to do that on an old flat-head engine with wide mushroom lifters made from unobtanium. If lifters are currently produced it's cheaper to buy them than have the old ones surfaced. It was an old machine shop that surfaced mine -- these new kids don't want to do anything like that -- they're spoiled on buying easy to replace parts.

OK BOYS ..... HERES THE SECRET !!!!

A MOPAR LIFTER IS A MOPAR LIFTER ..... GIVE OR TAKE..

ANY MOPAR V8 LIFTER IS THE SAME ... EVEN SLANT 6 USES THE SAME LIFTER.

IF YA DONT BELIEVE ME, ASK MY 330 DeSoto THAT RUNS OFF THE SHELF 440 LIFTERS.

OR BETTER YET.... GET A SET OF CALIPERS, TAKE YER OLD LIFTER, GET OUT FROM IN FRONT YOUR COMPUTER, AND GO TO THE MACHINE SHOP AND MEASURE IT YERSELF...

So that rule stands for Chrysler and Dodge early Hemis as well? Cool! I've heard the springs are the same as well. Anything else in the valve train that can be transplanted from other motors?

It is well established that the early 413-440 lifters work on all 331-392 Hemis, &, for the most part, the same lifter part numbers were used for Dodge & DeSoto. Are they exactly the same? No! But they work. Doc Fromader used 318 roller lifters in his 315 build on Webrodder (had to narrow the distance between the lifters), so they will work also.

Measure the width (o.d.0 of the spring seats. It's said that LA springs will fit, but some of them from Mopar Performance are wider that the Hemi seat.
