I have to drill my 276 desoto hemi intake for power brakes and wondered where the best spot on the intake is to do this?

There is a port on 354 manifold. Any where near the plenum under the carb.

Power Brakes are not constant vacuum drains.

hey, i have a 2 and 4 bbl intake factory(276/291) and they both have va***e ports in the back by/under the coil mount. on both intakes theres not enough room to machine a port in the carb base. i will try to send pics, im new to this. feel free to contact me with any questions. mike (old grease) ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1390674584.722882.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1390674637.924843.jpg

If your Desoto does not have one then just drill and tap like above.

There should be a threaded hole with a pipe plug (if the car it came from had standard brakes) or a fitting screwed in (if the car had power brakes). DeSoto offered power brakes before they came out with the hemi so every one should be equipped for power brakes.
