Determing the year on 1930's Ford 1 Ton

    I just got an old tow truck. Looks like a 1 ton, & has dual rear wheels. It is in pieces. It appears to me to be a 1930 something. My best guess is 34 or 35. Where do I find a vin or id plate? I will try & take some pics next few days. Thanks....

    My vin is on the frame on the drivers side on the top of the frame, right behind the front tire....I have read where it could be in different places

    Wasn't it also on the head of the engine? At least it was there on the model aa's. I saved the engine from my AA just for that reason.
