Detroit Autorama Roll Call..........Meet and Greet info

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hotrodladycrusr, Feb 21, 2004.

  1. Gotta second the thanks to HRLC for the p***es, it was the way coolest!

Also, Mr G***er, if that pic above is the Erickson roadster, it ISN'T the one I was talking about today. [IMG] The one I was thinking of had a 34 grille and fenders. And I still want your buds car! [IMG]

PS Thanks Hack for taking the Metro of Doom and driving us!

BTW: It was great to see everyone again, and it was really cool meeting those of you I hadn't met before.... Even if it was mostly a bunch of Canucks!!! [IMG][IMG]

I guess us ladies have a few advantages over you guys when it comes to being invited to sit inside very cool lakesters. [IMG]

Denise, YOU ****! i love the Khoughaz roadster. and when the hell did you take the group pic? i totaly missed that one. i see my wife made it in though.

i apologize if i was'nt as social as i usualy am. CherryBlossom and i were still getting over being wicked sick wednesday and i was pretty wore out.

VooDoo Child is definately one of the nicest cars there, honestly, but there were lots of other cool cars there no matter what your taste. even if you have no taste there were still cars there to suite you [IMG].

it was good seeing everyone again and meeting a few new friends. BRUSH, YOU ROCK!!! glad you guys could make the trek from Conanada. the artwork is KILLER!!! everyone wanted a copy.

First, thanks to Denise and Rudy for the p***es.
Had a great time visiting with everyone and getting to meet the infamous Brush! I hope to have a pc of his artwork gracing my wall soon.
I wish I could get back there this weekend but I'll be out of town. Take lots of pictures for me (I forgot to take my camera) of the customs.
And Denise, thanks for the eats. Mmmmmmm, good. But I forgot to give you my money for the raffle.

What a great time on Thursday. Rudy, Race and Denise treated us like family. Here is Brush and HRLC with a little gift Brush brought to Denise.

Had a blast at pre-Autorama. Great to meet more HAMBers. Great to see others I haven't seen in a while. Did anyone else see Blakie Gejean? I wanted to talk to him but he was always busy with others and I didn't want to be rude. Denise and Rudy, I owe ya one. Thanks again. Pete and Jenny

As everyone has already stated "GREAT TIME IN DEEEETROIT. Denise, what can I say, your the best (someone else knows that to). Thanks for the cookies and brownies. I'll forgive you about the Mt. Dew, but just this once.
What a great time meeting everyone and the cars were the frosting on the cake. I hope someone posts a picture of that '29 2dr that was converted into a tub and had the rear shortened and shaped like a Vicky. That was one of my favorites and I'm sure its going to end up in one of the magazines. It was flatty powered, blue, w/a carmel-orange interior. AWSOME!!!!
Hope to be back down Sunday and see some more HAMBrs. I'll tell you one thing being able to meet prople from the HAMB makes an automotive event that much more enjoyable. Can I get an AMEN!!!

Someone else did a good description of what was done to the blue tub on another post.
I talked to the builder/owner for a while on Thursday. He's from Virginia. He told me he built it out of left over parts he had laying around. The orange interior only happened because the pinstriper did an orange line around the car and then said 'now your interior has to match'. Looks perfect IMO. I also commented on the neato one foglamp on the front spreader bar. He told me it wasn't planned that way but he only had one so he put it on. Flattie with a Muncie 4 spd. I asked him how it drove. Couldn't tell me 'cause he finished it the day before but he did drive it into Cobo......put a whopping .3 miles on it.
