Detroit Billet Proof - one week

Hey bro........whats the turn around time on getting a response back on registration info.......sent my cash/info about 2 weeks ago and have not heard back yey?,......I also know you folks are working hard behind the sceens....if ya can throw any light on my request that would be great.........looking forward to a great time June 6!!

I will find out what is up, one of the girls at Boomers shop(hopefully where you sent it) is handling the pre-registration. I will try to find out what is up tonight. I applied online and haven't heard back. I didn't register until a few days ago. If it was late will you have a way of checking or do us late bloomers get to pay twice?

Frank, you are all good. Your registration was received. Even if for some reason you don't receive a confirmation, you are one the list.

When I paid online with paypal I received a receipt from paypal showing I paid billetproof@astound.net $20 for Billetproof Michigan 2004. I'm sure that will be enough.

Thanks for the link to the kick-off party Denise (I was away for a few days and missed that thread entirely). If I'm coming solo I might beg for a place to crash, although I might have a couple of other dumb-ass Canadians with me in which case we'll grab a hotel room. I'm sure I can scrounge up some grub and good Canadian beer too.

 

Big A I can go if you drive me, there is a 40 ford rear end in it for you too.

 

I'm still trying to figure out how I'm getting there. I'm going to have to borrow a car or talk someone else into driving. If I'm coming anywhere close to Cambridge I'll let you know.

I posted this on Canadian Rodder so there might be some cars coming from the Toronto area too.

Also a week to go and it sounds like Kirk is happy, and all of us here in Michigan are getting pretty excited, thanks for all of the support from the HAMB members!! We are going to try and have a HAMB reception around noon on Sunday, I will post and let everyone know the details.

 

Just gotta fill you guys in on something that made me VERY happy last nite. Beatnik and I cruzed over to the "Eastside" of town (about 30 miles for those that aren't fimiliar with the area) in Big Olds and attended a cruz nite at their local bowling alley, a HUGE cruz nite I might add. So I've got BilletProof flyers in one hand and the cool little post card things in the other. We're putting the flyers in BilletProof "style" cars and handing the flyers AND cards to the owners of the cars that qualify, plus were discussing the show with anyone who will listen Anyway, what made my nite was when I ran across this dude in this cool custom and I handed him a flyer and card and start to tell him about the show and he tells me that he already got the flyer and card from his brother. He was saying something about his brother just bought a car from someone and they gave him some flyers and his brother gave him one, etc.

Might not mean much to some but something like this gets me excited that people other then HAMB folks know about the show and are spreading the word!

A week from tomorrow, can't wait!

Hey Denise.......this being the first time to your gig.....I have no idea of the number of folk's that will be attending......right know I believe their's 3 of us planning on being their for sure with our share of the shopping list ..........but is there a motel close that we'll beable to crash at if we decide to use one!.......hate to say this on the HAMB but my buddies snore and they usually never sleep until all the kegs are dry .....thought I spare the other HAMBers this.....looking forward to weekend filled with great folks, great memories and that good ol HAMB spirit!!.........thanks again Denise for hosting the party!!

A few overnite folks have PM'ed me for motel info close to my place so here's a couple of choices

located 4 blocks away, right behind the resturant on the corner of Middlebelt and I96

Super 8 734 425 5150
located about 5 blocks away but down a one way street so you have to travel about 1 mile to get to it.

On Saturday evening at the party we'll all chat and determine what time we want to head out to the show and if we want breakfast before-hand or just coffee and donuts in the morning at my place.
