This show is on my "someday" list. I'd love to go there and check it out. Until then I'll rely on photos and videos.

    Great pictures - Thanks !

That Buick longroof in the first picture stopped me in my tracks. Man OH man.

The fully radiused front and rear wheel cutouts like those started by the higher end Buicks sure were sassy.
The 1955 Chevy nomad is described as having fully radiused rear wheel cutouts, but always seemed pale in comparison to me.

I was thinking with three portholes it would not have been a hardtop wagon, but the Hemmings article
seems to show it that way as-found a decade or more ago.

Cool, hopefully we'll learn more about it.

I was referring to an OT Ridler car I saw video of. It's a Canadian-built Cougar with a Mustang fastback roof and a Kaase Racing Engines "Boss 9" engine in it.

Thanks 'tiki. How nice those pics are without a lot of spectators in the line of sight.

Wow, totally cool! That "Li'l Henry" show rod brings back some great memories! It's a long-time midwest car, built in Iowa and I think in one of its earlier iterations, was displayed at the Gopher State Timing Association show in Minneapolis in the late 1950s. It made the ISCA circuit too in the mid 60s. Work was done at Imperial Kustom in Mason City IA, as I recall by Ron Perau and Del Clausen. Looks like the framed historical display pictured with it spells all that out. The car showed up as a survivor at MSRA's Back to the Fifties, maybe sometime in the 1990's and was for sale then. The owner at the time told me he bought it at an estate auction. It was spotted again at the Street Rod Nats I think later that year, then it disappeared. If you get the chance, get the story on this cool survivor from the present owner and fill us in PLEASE! As a side note, as of a few years ago I believe original builder Del Clausen was still around in Iowa painting cars and doing his thing.
And that survivor roadster from the Beach Boys' appearance on the Ed Sullivan show? Wow, again!!
Man, the neat stuff you see on the HAMB. Thanks a BUNCH for posting these great photos.
