    Thanks John, see you soon!

You too, Kevin, Yeh, we saw a few too in OH, it was REALLY coming down at some points! See you this weekend?

Likewise, bro keep up the good work!

The next one is gonna be BIG. I think we're gonna try and do a twice pipes club display if they can squeeze us in.

Thanks fellas! Jeff, where were you? A little bird named Ron told me you were supposed to be there!

No joke on that one, it was the real deal!

Haha, the car truly looks fab, John. Good to see you guys again too!

Marty, you know we never made it over there, haha! Next time I need to take the whole week off!

We were looking for you! I shoulda g ave you my cell, except I don't even know what it is, hehe. See you this weekend.

Thanks a ton, Mike, the only changes will be for the better. I'm planning a full ally hood and a tonneau cover real soon.

Likewise man, I'm gonna try to convice my wife I need to drive the roadster to autofair. "For Business" of course, hehe!

Not sure if he's on here or not, but I'd also like to publicly thank Phil Lyons for taking the time to share his stories and pictures of his trip to Bonneville in 1950. The show was really great, but when I reflect on this weekend, that's the single event that really sticks in my mind. What a treasure trove he has and a nicer guy you just couldn't meet. I thought I took a shot of him standing next to his roadster, but for some reason, it doesn't seem to be on my camera...:( Anyhow, thanks Phil, can't wait to hear that V8-60!

  4. Great coverage Andy...sounds like you had a killer time....thanks for sharing

  5. Car show judging is a thankless job at this or the local level, thus I avoid it like the plague. Thanks to all for the behind the scenes stuff here that probably won't be found in the print media.

  6. Thanks! Nice selection of pics.

Andy It was Awesome finally meeting you this weekend. That roadster of yours was the most spot on car there at Autorama. Amazing work.

  10. Hi Andy; Sure was nice talking with you at "The Show" ! Thanks for your kind words. We got home to Thunder Bay yesterday afternoon and it finally hit me that the four years of getting ready for the Autorama was over. I think if I can pull it off, I will do it again next year with my '39 Deluxe Coupe but this time, I will try for the lower level.....
I just wanted to show you the inspiration for the jackets. This ad was in the 1948, Dec. issue of HOT ROD. Ours cost a bit more to duplicate,LOL. Thanks to Dave McKee for the photo!
