  2. Thanks Chuck, yep there is a guy here that was making those trunk lids

  3. Last week there was an estate sale here and I scored a mint firewall, louvered 4pce hood, cowl vent and other parts.
I have been working away on the car as much as possible.

Mounted the column and also got a set of SW gauges for my birthday.

To make it easier to mount the column and not cut into the firewall I ended up remounting the engine further forward than I had it.

great lookin' build you got going....I was originally inspired by Lobecks roadsters, my old man and I are friends of his, the Kyle roadster, and the Gary Kessler roadster.... I built (and rebuilt) my car here in College back in 1997 and have since logged 45,000 miles on it...the styling has come and gone some, but I've made suttle changes here and there (halibrands and Ets, heavier chopped windshield) to maintain the original look I wanted....good luck on yours--32csr

love the Kyle roadster but Kessler was good for the day. Sits too high and gotta have Betty Davis eyes.

You got the negatives backwards again, shows the steering and pedals on the wrong side. Outstanding job.

I really like those new bells. You are correct in your visual ideas. Will keep that trick in the back of my mind for future use. NICE WORK!!!

  17. Progress has been flat out and full on.......

I got all the body work completed and then have had the car painted and the chassis reassembled with the 1957 283 engine and then today we refitted the body for the final time.......

Nope, no fenders required here (on 1934 or earlier Hot Rods).

Any thoughts on where someone could get a set of those larger size bells?

    Geoffrey

  27. I had the ends machined up for them but someone did say that larger early Ford commercial diff housings could work

  28. Sounds Awesome Greg! I'm sure your mum is quite used to that sort of interuption to her sleep! That sort of nouse would make for a great alarm clock!
