can anyone show a good side by side comparison of the earlier roadsters/coups on deuce rails verses the stock rails. I know "that look" when i see it, and the style of car i'd love to build when i'm done with the g***er, but honestly, i'm not well versed enough to know which parts i'd need to obtain to actually get "the look" I understand the whole idea of making it look like you want, but what do deuce rails actual get you? is it form (lowered, angled, smoother) or function (stability, more suspension options)?
There were several reason fellas used '32 rails. It was a much stronger frame and with the longer wheelbase would ride better. They could bolt a flathead into it. It was easier to bolt a Model A body onto a '32 frame than build engine/trans mounts for the Model A or T frames. With the longer engine compartment, OHV motors that came in early 50's fit better than in the Model A and T frames.
