Thanks for posting those. What's the story on this one? It has popped up on here before but no one seemed to know anything about it. A little gaudy, but I like it.
I was there too. Fantastic photos of the event. Sooo many great cars at the event and not a one looked the same. It was amazing to see the m*** of Deuces on display. Beautiful weather here in Cali to celebrate the partial outside event too.
Chris couldn't agree more with everyone else about how amazing these photos are! great work and boy do I miss CA right now...haha
I took a camera and toted it around the whole time. Took only a handful and when I got home I wondered why I took a camera. I didn't get much of anything, why I don't know. Maybe I was C-Deuced by all the great cars. Casny's shot are brilliant so you should have a great feel for the show from his talents. There was an ol dry lakes Deuce Roadster that was a real gem. I should have taken a shot with the owner. He's had it since 1935 and raced it at the dry lakes. It had a Auburn dash with an SCTA plaque, hand fuel pump and the lot. The motor was a 4-Banger set up with a Winfield head and duel 97's and a Mallory ignition. Old photos of he and the roadster back in the day to boot.
My pictures don't really convey the feel of the show. The 350-400 deuces were spread out on four levels, three of which were super dark. That kind of ****ed. A lot of the really cool cars including that survivor I have no pictures of. It was awesome regardless.
I disagree. You under rate your photos of the event. It was a great even and I think your photos are a testament to it. I do agree about the garage area. It was dark and difficult to get good shots without a decent flash. I tried to take a few open apertures shot but the shutter speed was too slow and the pictures turned grainy.
