  3. It is also a model B which is the second letter of the alphabet.

We could come up with a lot of conjecture but the truth is that it is something no doubt that a rodder came up with at some point and no one will ever have the definative answer.

Well not being as impressed with the duece as my hot rod conter parts i have said at one time or another that I wished Ihad two of them one to **** on and the other to cover it up with. Hre we go again the number two comes up as in two deuces and also I got to go to the bafffroom teacher. Well what do you have to do number one or number two?

You didn't get me outta this fine mess I got me into porkn****** ! Of course it was a rodder, probably in the mid 40's, who first called a 32 Ford a Deuce. Or was it a reporter or slick talkin movie script writer? I still don't know. Do you?
I'm gonna continue thinking it was a young man fresh home from the service, after driving a Deuce truck. And yes, most likely because the little 32 coupes and roadsters were being converted and rodded by these boys hungry for speed and popularity.
Someday someone will get to the bottom of this and maybe not know exactly who created the Deuce name, but at least narrow down the approximate date and place it happened.
Until then I'll dream about owning a little A-V-8 or Deuce coupe.
    A-V-8=Model A with a Flathead engine-----------Deuce=any Ford built in 1932, 4-cyl or V-8. Most likely SBC powered.

HUH? Someone started a Chevy stovebolt thread recently and got good honest answers immediately!;)
Does that mean the Chevy guys are smarter? No one has come up with when the 32 Ford was called a DEUCE . Being a popular model and built in 1932 seems like a logical reason why! And most likely the west coast was where. ????
Also who knows when the Ford V-8 was first called the "flathead'?
Volumes have been written about the Chevy "stovebolt." What about the Duece?
