I bought a set of wide whites from the about three or four years ago. They're nice tires, but the sidewalls exhibit subtle depressions or furrows (for lack of a better term). I did apprise them of that fact & after h***ling with them for awhile, they gave me a relatively insignificant credit.

I like my Diamond Backs on my '37 Chevy coupe, which I've had for 4 or 5 years. I also noticed the small depressions, but you have to look closely to see them. My car's a "driver", so it doesn't bother me at all. The white wall's have stayed white with no discoloration at all.

I've had a set for about a year and am well pleased with them. The white walls stay white and there is no lettering in them (like Firestone.)

  5. I have a set of the wide whites on my caddy. I like the cleanliness of them. They havn't given me any trouble. Good luck with your choice.

I have them on my Studebaker truck, and I had the same tires on another car, They have around 70,000 miles on them with no problems.

I have a set of wide whites on my Mercury. They ride real nice! My sidewalls have those litte depressions too, but they are hardley noticeable. The whitewalls stay pretty clean. I wish they had writing on them like the Firestone/Goodyear bias plys. I think bias ply's look infinitely better....

Here are a few shot of my car with the Diamondback black walls. 215-85-16 rears and 185-75-16 fronts. Once she's rolling, you can't tell they're radials, except by the seat of your pants.
58,000 miles on bias plies, I've paid my dues.

Thanks to Rebeca for the pictures, taken at the Alter Boys show.

I've got 'em on both of my cars and, though they don't look as good as the bias-plies they replaced, the improvement in straight line tracking and overall handling was well worth it to me.

On my second set of rears on the PU... do tend to leave a nice white fog in the air.... fronts are wearing very well.

No issues at all with ride quality noise or traction.

I have had them since 1999 on my convertible and I am very pleased with the tires. Now on the second set for the rear (my bad). The fronts were replaced by Diamond Back with no problem when a seam appeared in the white walls after 3 years. Good drivers and the white stays great.

    Very Happy with them.

I hate to be the guy who throws a wrench in the mix, but I have had my wide whites for around 3 years and a couple of them are starting to bleed black into the white. You're talking blackwalls so no worries, but if somebody is shopping for whitewalls you may want to ask around some.

Had trouble a while back with a set I had, their 'customer service' was so terrible I doubt I'll ever buy another set of tires from them.

Mine have been on 3 years no problems and the ride is great. 3 inch whitewall stay white. I clean them with simple green and a magic eraser for the tough spots.

I searched high and low for a set of Narrow 16" radials. Diamondback offered a reasonable priced, good service. Delivered almost overnight and they've turned out fine.

I also put a set of Diamond Backs on my Hudson. This is my first set and will not be my last. They wear nice and the whitewalls clean up easy and stay super white. My next set will be Diamond Backs!

We have them on 4 of our 5 cars (last one is a pro street race car). Love, love, love them! Been doing autocross courses with my 55 on thier 215/75R15s and 225/75R15s.

I don't clean them much and they are always white.

Haven't actually hit the road on my set but I can say they are good people. Bill (the owner?) took care of me when I wasn't happy with my choice of size. He didn't charge a restocking fee, and had the replacements sent out before mine went back. First cl***.

So I came across this thread by accident a few weeks ago. Hadnt thought of whites on my car but bit the bullet and ordered some. They came in today and cant wait to get home to see them.

Running Paulson smoothies on them but theyre still at powder coaters.
