Hey Jay you need to up date this thread. I got the inside scoop but the rest of these guys don't!! So get back on here and show them.

  3. Well.. havent updated this is a bit.. For some reason my photobucket account got deleted and i lost ALL my pictures.. said i violated there terms.. i didnt even have nakid chics on there.. oh well..

I will be taking updated photos soon.. Sandblasting will begin monday.. I did not go with that motor in previous pictures as i found a running flatty, Got the chassis down to bare metal, Bob filled all the lil holes with weld, found better doors at swap meets.. damn nice headlights and headlight bar, 37-39 Ford windshield frames, new rocker panels, 49-50 ford steering wheel, Portell Radiator and on its way, Black walls will be here shortly and well.. there is much more but just waiting to get some 40 ford rear drums and a couple other little things..
Most all the painting is done minus body and chasis.. here are a couple i did find from when i created another photobucket account

  8. Nice job, I like that you are using all vintage parts. I didn't know the C.E. front axles weren't marked with their logo, looks good.

If you go to post #13 and move that one photo in line verticle with the others, we won't have to scroll back and forth to read captions.

P.S. A little late now, but here's a new twist on adapting '32-'34 spindles for hyd. brakes.

Great progress, glad to see everything is well for you. Should be on the road soon. Later

  10. Thanks Richard, Thats good info on moving the photo.. once i moved that photo link vertically the scrolling went away all the way up to this page.. then i had one more on this page out of order and moved that but for some reason still have to scroll to read the posts. Naa not to late to read that post. I still havent made the spindles fit as i was just going to shave the top of the spindle and cut the Top Hat of the King Pin to fit the lincoln backing plates. maybe that thread will share some light.

    Cheers..

  11. For the life of me I can't figure out how most of us end up sandblasting when it's so hot ya can't stand it and put on that damn blasting helmet,,,gloves,,and I hope a resporator,,,,102 outside and 150 under that helmet! HRP

  12. I have a buddy who builds big tanks and does other fab. His sandblasting hood has supplied air that feels like A/C.:)

  13. Yea this guy had air going in his helmet.. dont know how cool it was but at least it was there.. Ill have more update soon.. we will be putting everything together for a mock up to find where "almost" final cuts will be and fills etc.. Radiator comming probably monday along with new rear drums and rebuilt zyphr cylinders and other things...

  15. Welp, here is a bit of a good update.

Body work is getting done, Fit the spindles on the the 47 Lincoln backing plates, put new 40 ford drums on the rear.

Fit a 27 Coupe dash on. Put the tranny together, The good ol re-splined drive shaft is a great fit. Got the radiator in and notched the tabs to get it to fit on the chassis.

All the brakes are together. We put the body on, front and rear end, ( tires are not the ones ill be using.. will be 7.20 rear, 600 front) put the motor in and just mocked it up to get a better idea of what has to be done. We were very happy to see the proper 45degree in both shackels, the 15 or so degree in tourque tube to allow the oil to return to the pumpkin. etc.. etc.. etc.. there is much more im forgetting but here are a series of pictures .. Happy Independence Day!!!!!!! Cheers to 232 years of the Greatest Nation!!!!!!!

  24. Oh i did forget to mention .. WATCH OUT what gears you guys buy from your " trusted Vendor that loves to be middle man.. This was what I was left with after that anticipated test drive.. Blown First Gear.. Im going to the " shop " that i got them from next week.. I had this in a 37-38 box but brand new heli-cut gears that got rapped.. looks to me that these bastards are not heat treated..

Just put a '39 Box in there with orig Gears.. grinding second but there is a certain middle man that owes me a syncro.

but all in all .. Didnt get tossed from the hotel esp for looking for that midnight snack and another 30pk of beer.. but best part of all .. Im still with my 'Ol Lady' I got alot more photos but really needed to get this thread up to date..
