**** is a wealth of knowledge, and a generous purveyor of parts to 'we in the need'. He helped me just this year with a used factory oversize piston for my '47 Merc flattie...(talk about 'unobtanium'!) Please get well, ****. Prayers from our house.
Sad to be sure, but if it is anything like what has been reported in the original post starting this thread it has nothing to do with age. That type of problem can affect anyone at any age. I hope **** is doing well.
Very sad news indeed. **** was a giant in his field and a person who would help you with your project and needs even if he didn't sell you anything. I wish him a speedy recovery.
Just got a ph call from my pop. He relayed the news to me, **** is in poor, poor health. He is one of the guys I grew up hanging around. As a very young little man, I remember being at Amherst, or Stafford, or the V8 meets trying to help him vend out of his trailers, probably more in his way than helpful. I still have 3 old Aurora thunderjet slot cars he gave me at the Rhinebeck swapmeet about 30yrs ago. He said if I ever sold them, to give him half of what I got for them. Well, they are some of my more prized cars for no other reason. He has done a lot more than sell parts for all these years. He was ever the hot rodder, dirt tracker, "in the field" engineer, and business man. Just an all around good guy.
That is terrible news...not what I wanted to hear . I'll be hoping for a quick and full recovery . Thanks for the update.
Well...thats certainly not what I wanted to read when I signed on tonight. All the best **** and hoping to hear you're feeling better soon.
This is not good. **** is a great guy, as everyone says, and I hope he recovers fully. Does anyone know for certain what his ailment is? Get better ****.
Prayers for ****, He is is Albany Medical. I'm told that he cannot have visirors. Being a local guy I know him well and we all pray that he comes through. Bill is running the shop and I'm sure that he is overwhelmed with calls.
One of the true old time Ford guys. A gentleman, an encyclopedia of automotive history, and a pain in the *** for anybody who talks out of their league! He lives life on his own terms and I respect him beyond measure. Give'm hell ****!
Any news on what the surgery was ? I had a leaky blood vessel in my brain and had emergency brain surgery to fix it. Prayers going to **** and his family.
Sad news indeed. **** Spadaro was a charter member of a core group of people of great knowledge and abil;ity/inclination to share that knowledge here on HAMB, that make this site so great. Get Well Soon ****!
You got that right Dave,**** has always been sought out for his depth of all things Deuce related. HRP
Bummer! I've seen and spoken with **** many times at New England functions, and on the phone buying parts. He was a good friend of my wife's childhood neighbor on Cape Cod.............the infamous Richmond Bell. Prayers out.
I talked to **** at the V-8 Club Eastern Meet in Gettysburg. He was tooling around in his Deuce three window and he looked fine! Go's to show you how quick things can go downhill, live every day like it's your last. Prayers to ****.
**** was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer. He was opperated on last Wednesday. The doctors said it doesn't look good. I spoke with Bill at the shop and he said that it is doubtful that **** will make it home. Bill has been inundated with phone calls and could probably use a rest. I will post more as I hear more.
So sorry to read this post. I don't know **** personally, but know he's a valuable part of the Ford community. I hope he can somehow overcome this, he always seemed like a really good guy when I read what he added to the HAMB. Keep fighting, ****.
**** has Glioblastoma . It is easy to Google and that explains it all. Please respect his privacy for now. Time will tell. thank you
