    You can bid online if you can't make it to the auction. You would be bidding against people who are at the auction though. Good thing is that you can place your max bid and either hope that no one outbids you or you can bid live.
    You do have to have a credit card to register with that type of auction though. You don't have to pay with it if you show up with cash but it means that one way or the other you will pay for a winning bid.

    If I wasn't within a reasonable drive to pick things up I'd research the shipping of items pretty well though.
    That said there is some damned cool stuff in that auction and a lot of variety.

    There is a cool wood work bench with vise and a Sun 504 distributor machine on page 8 of the auction.

    It's sad that the museum closed, it was a cool place with a ton of neat old cars and collectibles.
