Friday night was tha 20th anual Pair A Dice cruisers christmas party, got home at 2:30am. Saturday a bunch of Hot Rodders meet for breakfast, and spent the rest of the day cutting a christmas tree, and decerating our Cottage we live in.

Have about two more long weeks of furniture making and I should beable to get back to the car shop to work on the 54. I can't complaine about the furniture work it buys car parts, and it looks like I might be ahead of last years sales, that make a good christmas present for me being self employed.

Went to the Northern National Drags at Meremere on Sunday. Good day, not many stoppages but small fields. Spent the day with some good mates and had a few laughs (always good for the soul).

Bought a nice industrial drill press off of Craigs List for $75 bux and had to clean out a corner of the garage and then build a stand for it.

Now if I could just find something to drill........

I pulled the gas tank out of the 32 coupe, all rusted and varnished on the inside, outside looks like the day it came out of the Ford plant! I am trying the electrolysis method to clean it. Its out in the driveway cooking right now!! Has anyone tryed this? I am using a 1 amp charger, would more amps speed it up much?

Sold my truck. Actually it was a Sedan, but now it's a truck, and someone else's problem.

    I am in pain..
Repaired a section of roof that I paid to get repaired 6 months ago..only about 75' long..
Took out three solid wood doors/frames to rehang them to close correctly. Did some yard work..dug out a small Saguaro (5ft about 250lbs) and replanted it.
Watched football while busting my back..legs and arms..

But I did get to drive the 120 about 20 miles..

Did a little CAD work on my 27 roadster chassis. Last weekend I welded up the main rails and this weekend is figuring out crossmember and suspension placement. I've learned a lot on the HAMB and still have a lot to learn. Right now I'm studying over the Brian Angus chassis design post to design things a little better. Next week I should be ready to start a full scale mock up. That should be exciting!

Tore the front end on my buick apart, greased it, changed tires, tightened up all the linkage, re-packed the front wheel bearings. Did some wiring, and got the brake lights, blinkers, tail lights, and even the light over the licence plate working. Re-routed the exhaust so it exits out the front driverside wheel well. Tuned the carb up right as well. Mounted the bench seat, and made some temporary floor pans for it. Got the heater working, and the wipers. Also made a fuel tank for it, and mounted it in there. Just gotta run new fuel lines, and its done.

Got the wife in the garage to finish the battery tray for her car. I thought it was good opportunity to teach hear some hammerforming. She did a great job.
gonna learn her welding next....should be fun.

Took the oilpan off my Merc's flatty. The crank & rods seemed to be in good condition. Maybe someday this thing is ticking... (timebomb?!?!)

Hmmmm. . .little "car project" related (on a brief hiatus from workin' on the paint job for the Edsel until after our event), but did get to play with the trebuchet my Dad made. . .

Discovered the following things about launching objects:

Eggs, fresh = 75 feet, :D waaaay fun!!!
Matchbox cars, drilled with leather ties attaching them to the trebuchet = 50 feet
Eggs, hard boiled = 125 feet and make a really cool thudding crunching sound :D
2 golf balls = straight up in air, duck for fuckin' cover:rolleyes::eek:

Also cut and sewed up 5 Elf costumes for the generous boys who are wearing them to our event; cut out a ton of felt stockings for the kids to decorate as ornaments; made a set of arm-rests for a friend's 54' Chevy; got caught up on lots of little "event" projects that needed to get done. . .

Oh, and went (with my parents' non-HAMB related car club) shopping with 30 kids . . .their club raised $3,000 and we gave each kid from an afterschool program in San Antonio $100 to spend on X-Mas presents for their families. A ton of fun, but extremely difficult explaining to a 7 year old why spending $39 on a doll that has her own toliet was probably not the best use of her resources

Dayum. Readin' back over this, I guess I was busier than I thought I was. . .

    Very cool, I'm impressed.

I moved all the furniture outta my bedroom and closet, stripped the wallpaper boarder, (don't ever hang wallpaper or boarder, or let your wife do it), had to scrap and wash the walls cuz of all the residue, filled all the nail holes, sanded, and taped off everything. Ready for priming then painting starting tonight after work.

I had new Floors finished up in my home done by BloodyKnuckles, and I tried to fix the roadster from acting like a complete asshole. It's still being one.

I also became an Iron Lord officially which is awesome because I look up to all those dudes and they have been like brothers to me. They really blew me away with their invitation to the club. Pretty solid weekend.

I spent Satuday hanging exhaust in the shop truck (75 GMC) and most of Sunday building a shipping crate for a 4 speed I have for sale.

I started making engine/trans mounts, realized I need more tools, went shopping. Did not find what I wanted/need.

Spent way to much time on the forums.

Then watched a lot of football.
