I did my first alignment (bought the tool) on my 36' after raising it up 2". Yes, that's right I raised it. I was tired of fixing the front valance everytime I didn't slow down for a dip.

I picked up a complete Vortec 350 for the low price of 100.00. My 36' now has a roller cam engine in it's future.

I found that a clogged inline fuel filter at the gas tank was the source of my '38 running like crap and not idling. The weird thing is the filter was installed backwards (gas tank to "Out" and fuel pump to "IN") yet the car had been driven for awhile (by PO and by me ) prior to it spitting and sputtering on the way home from a car show a few weeks ago.

Finished up the Galaxie, just needs a good cleaning now. As of last weekend this car was completely void of anything to do with a braking and steering system, including the column and gearbox, brake lines and such. Now I've completely rebuilt the power steering system and re-ininstalled the entire brake system with silicone fluid. Started it up today after it laid dormant for 2 years and all is well.
Sure its almost like putting a big model car together since it's pretty much been together once before, but it sure was a lot of work and time!

  8. I realized that the freshly boiled out and cleaned gas tank in the T-Bird leaks from the soldered joint, but only after I filled it up with Chevron premium...luckily premium was only $1.90 a gallon now, or I'd be pissed...

Also buttoned up new fuel supply and return lines on the '60, getting really close to a shakedown drive after being apart again for sooooo long.

And, hung up the Christmas lights...hopefully no one snapped pictures of me hanging of the 2nd story eaves...but I like the reward:

Drove the Model T out of the garage for the first time. Had to get my Son to carry the gas can tho. the tank had one little pinhole so it's been coated with sealer. Should be able to get it put back on tomorrow. Looking forward to taking it around the block, hope I can get it out of the driveway without dragging the pan off.
