Did I do something wrong?

I needed help identifying a Ford Step van I am interested in purchasing. The owner and I can't figure out the year and can't seem to find the bin on the engine. It's been sitting up a few years now. He said it was an old Continental Bread truck. It's between a 1956-1965 year.

Where do I post this thread at sirs?

Step Van Thread (imported from main board)

 

There has got to be a vin number on it some where. I would check the year range to find out where they put it. I know chevy trucks had them stamped in the frame rails.
