Last night I wished everyone a merry Christmas and posted what I thought was a cool rockin Christmas song by Si Cranstoun. I thought I was safe, putting it in Art and Inspiration, and there was nothing in it that did not predate 1964. The music, costumes, dance steps, instruments, all could have been made no later than 1962. This morning I found I got the boot again. I'm puzzled. Is it because there were no cars in the video? Is there something wrong with wishing everyone a merry Christmas? I say again because it seems most of my new posts get censored for one reason or another without explanation. I'm genuinely puzzled.
straight from the rules. Have you read them? And, most importantly: 6. Was your thread about something other than traditional hot rods and customs? Aside from a few "sidebar" topics that interest the staff here, we don't allow off topic posts. Your definition of "traditional" might differ from ours. That's fine. However, this is our forum and it's our definition that the forum is run off of.

I don't have a clue as to when Christmas is in Canada but we haven't even celebrated Thanksgiving in the lower 48 yet. You can send me the link in a conversation, I would like to see it. HRP
Here in Canada we celebrated Thanksgiving a month ago, there is snow on the ground and Christmas lights are up on a lot of houses. The song was A Christmas Twist by Si Cranstoun, a video I got off Youtube with 3 girls dancing the twist in red costumes. Will send a link. PS I was trying to start a Christmas thread and thought it best to start early and give everyone a chance to participate.
I thought I was on safe ground because the other day someone posted a Christmas magazine cover with a picture of Santa's sleigh and a pickup truck full of presents, and you let it stand even though the truck was a 1970 model. There was nothing in the video I posted that could not have come from 1962. Would mine have been ok if there was a car in the video?
Yes "Aside from a few "sidebar" topics that interest the staff here, we don't allow off topic posts. Your definition of "traditional" might differ from ours." I understand your definition of traditional is 1964 or earlier. There is nothing in the video I posted that could not be pre 1964. Someone else posted a Christmas theme picture the day before. I thought it was an interesting "sidebar" topic. I posted it in Art and Inspiration since a song is considered Art. I can only conclude you didn't like it because there were no cars in the video. Is this correct?
2. No political/religious/racial posts at all. No exceptions. 6. Was your thread about something other than traditional hot rods and customs? In the op’s defense, xmas has become a part of the USA culture and is non-religious, despite it’s origins. For a lot of people is just a seasonal fun and charitable experience. That being said, it still has nothing to do with traditional hot rods or customs.
There seems to be a thread almost every year showing people using their on topic hot rods picking up christmas trees. That is certainly ok here.....
