I seem to remember that the forward 1-3/4" bars coming forwards from the roll bar hoop need to be 5 feet long minimum; is this the case or did I dream it? Also the NHRA rule book states that the hoop needs to be within 6" of the rear of the drivers head for a closed car and 3" forwards of the drivers head for an open car. Any input on this????????
We didn't build our roll bar or the whole car to NHRA specs just to the HAMB specs. So far so good we p***ed NHRA tech at Indy last year and IHRA tech at our home track(Tulsa).
type in hambsters go to page 5 construction of a hambster top of page page 2 has a video ride along with ramrods and hornets
I don't know if this will help...but here are a couple pictures of Rodan under construction. The first picture is before the diagonal bars were put in...and the second has the addition of a second roll bar (to allow it to run quicker than 11.99).
