1963 I had a 40 Ford coupe with Merc miil and twin carbs. One day a guy came buy and offered me $50 for it. I sold it without the engine.........

40 years later I was putting a later flathead in a 34 Ford and took the Merc bellhousing from that car off the nail in the barn and used it.

I'll see if I've got some pics around.

I never got the chance to drive the '40 sedan, (chevy 265 power), but it was one of my first cars, that's me leaning over in front. This was 1959. In 1960 I bought the '37 Ford and this was the first car that I drove.

This is Hank37's coup in '59. Maybe he'll chime in. He still drives it.

Yea that was 51 years ago, when I worked on it outside no garage , hand full of tools and alotta of junk yard trips. The 37 had a 303 Olds with a 37 floor shift and a ford rear with low gears, in 65 put in a 400 " Caddy with a GM 4 speed and Olds. rear. Miss those good times and you know I often think if I had it all to do over the 37 would be in primer again. still have that primered hood with the scoop. The 37 is in cold storage now it's about 11 degrees out there today. I 'm working on my dirt modified stock car today, mounted big drag rubber on back with alum. 16" wide wheels to give it the look at had back in 74'. Still figuring how to mount the Falcon body to the frame. My friends think I'm nuts at 70 years old to want to drive a modified, but I say why not. Well back to work ,good to hear from you Autobilly.
