Exact same thing happened to me. I was working in my body shop class and I was trying to get the door line just right. The last little bit went and i was at primer. Shit happens, I rationalized it by saying I got more sanding work and some more paint work.

 

Yep,almost every day. After 8 hours in the garage yesterday,I finished one tiny little part I was making. Looked just fine until I decided I could make it fit better.On a part that nobody will ever see,EVER... Then it all went to Hell in a hurry... Last thing I thought about last night,first thing I thought about this morning,stayed pissed off at work all day about it.
Tonight I spent 3 hours taking it apart,and modifying it... With any luck at all,after about 20 more hours,it'll be almost as good as it was before I fucked it up..
