Nope, i just decided to build a car in September, I've made progress, but I will be out of the state until mid May. At that time it will hit it hard and try to have it tagged and on the road by Labor day, 2013.

That is a beautiful job, those cars are super hard to find parts for. Nine years, I don't have that much time left.

  4. X2 - HRP, That wagon looks great!! I had a 54 Customline Tudor in HS, so I have very fond memories of 54 Fords. My 40 coupe is coming along and I guess I gotta set an end date...maybe Jalopyrama 2013.

CONGRATS to all who finished their dream in 2012. B-Bob your car is certainly an inspiration to me....Great Job!

Jeff that Olds deserves a few more pics. A full side view at least, that car just flows really well.:D

  6. Not even friggin' close.

Congrats to all of you who did get cars on the road in 2012, especially those long term projects. Those before and after shots of Hotrodprimer's Ranch Wagon are pure inspiration, and I know how much work bgbdlinc put in.

No...to much time spent on the HAMB watching everyone else work....should be running this weekend...dropped the drive shaft off yesterday to be reworked and shortened...should be able to run around the block and then tear it down for paint....

The Friken A. 3 times this Year!

I first picked it up in March and first got it on the road in May. A couple months later, I blew the Head Gasket, was down for a week. Then a pole hit me & it was down for a month, A new Rad., frame, axle, & spring, and I was back on the road for a third time.

I didn't get the Merc moving under its own power yet this year either, but the Engine ran (and ran well!) on the dyno and that was a big accomplishment.

At some point in 2013 though, she will be driven out of the garage, even if it is bare metal and no glass.

  11. I finally got a 50's car in 2012, a 1954 Pontiac, but I would have had to have it on the road in a week to meet the 2012 deadline lol. Hopefully in a month or so.

Wagon is beautiful btw, i would never get tired of looking at that.

Got mine going this last December. I know the wheels are OT, deal with it. 1964 Fairlane gave up its 289 and C4 30 years ago for this truck. Upgraded for safety sake to disc all around and an M II ifs. Air ride suspension all around. Feels good to finally have it running again.

Got it going in late 2011 but not really road ready until Spring 2012. Only pics I have available are without the hood but you'll get the idea. It was a long 6 years being without a ride.

    Yes I did, FINALLY.
18 plus years of working on it a little bit at a time. Three different engine were in it, three different roofs, three different front ends and two new paint jobs.
But I would really like to thank all the people who help me along the way including HRP.

And this is what it looked like before I took the engine out before Christmas and reinstalled after Christmas.

nope, not yet.. i'ts been three years and i'm getting closer. i thought it would've been at least running last year but i had back surgery in 2011 and that slowed me down for at least 6 months. also, i'm a fair weather worker, and lately it's been just a little to cold for me in the shop.

  17. On the road after working on it the last 4 years off and on..but still not "done".

I purchased this in 2004 and I am happy to say I finally drove it for the first time in 2012 after lots of starts and stops. Next I will be working out bugs and starting body work but at least I can drive it now to pick up the parts!

    Happy New Year!

Yep, got it all up and going for my wedding in July! It was a thrash and hurt the credit card but I made it there on the big day. Too bad I have decided to sell it to finance a house, but at least I still have my T and a few other projects.

HRP, you have a lot of quality rides!

Guys have probably seen the pic that I post the most. After working on it for 2+ yrs, blew the engine after 3 weeks last spring. Finally have the replacement ready to go and should be ready by spring (again).
