I personally like a frame (we butchered a '19 Buick and one of my buddies is whacking on a T) but I believe most are scratching'em as availability's a bit of a problem any more.
Randy built ours- back half is ModelA front is rectangular tubing tapered to match the ModelA part. Most guys are scratch building with rec tubing. Brad
I built my own as it was easier than finding an A frame that was in good shape that they did not want a fortune for.
buy 2 ten foot sticks of 1.5 x3 125 wall rectangular tubeing depending on how you mount the front/rear end wheelbase be 120 to126 thats all folks
Got my "T" rails for $50.00. Yes they will need some modification, but that is what it is about. Seems like the "T" frames are available for $100.00 or less if you look in the right places. Can't say about "A" frames, but if you find one that would work well too. Our main goal is to use as many true vintage parts as possible, keep the car as light as possible, and try our best to have more fun than the rest of the guys. Oh yeah.......and try to have the fastest car out there powered by a '34 Dodge flathead 6.
