What scale is the 340 Duster???
Reason why I ask is, I'm looking for some 1/64 plastic body diecast cars for the bodies.... I'd like to use those for my Aurora slot car chassis.... :)

  15. Well, I got the 50 Bel Air apart, sanded and primered. Hood and trunk lid still need some work but it's getting there. Found my long lost Dremel so now I can go back and remove the trim around the gas door. "Charlotte" is a diecast I picked up at my local Grocery Outlet.

Picked up this incomplete Hubley 32 Chevy.Missing the trunk lid so I cut a piece of styrene and clamped to achieve the correct curvature. The plan is to immerse it in boiling water and allowing it to cool. [IMG]

A hair dryer might even work for that..

  21. Yes, it would. I have used a hair dryer to form styrene. Find something to roll it over that is a little smaller curve than the model so when the styrene cools and straightens a bit, it will be the right radius.

Okay it worked ,dunked it into the boiling water for a 20 count.Just to be sure I glued the rumble seat to the decklid so that it will retain its shape. [IMG]
