  4. The one in the right looks like a die cast dealer promo. Is it a Buick or Olds?

I have never seen a 53 Olds promo and since I used to have the real thing had to get it,I think it was a bank too as there is a sticker on the top with a banks name so.I wonder if the banks that provided financing provided promos.

  12. I've always wondered, for die casts, how do you make a coupe die cast into a sedan, assuming the pillar is in the same place.
i have a model kit of a '57 ford and want to figure out a way to make it a 4 door sedan to replicate it.

Visited Family in Michigan and picked up the remaining parts I needed from Julian Thomas for a Wyandotte tanker truck and a Tootsietoy truck I wanted to restore. Took advantage of the recent cold spell to finished up these projects.

It was hard to find any pictures for reference of an original windup toy, so I cut a piece of thin gauge steel to fit the rear opening. Using my Dremel tool and a file, I cut the window opening and created the lines, taillights and license plate recess. A little epoxy and the tailgate is permanently attached to the now painted unique toy that I have added to my collection.

Picked up a bag of 8 vehicles at an antique mall last week. Several were Sun and Auburn rubber vehicles as well as a Tootsietoy Tow Truck and Ford Country Wagon. Overall they were in decent shape with good tires. A little prep work and some new paint made these Tootsietoy vehicles a nice addition to my collection.
