Weekend swap meet find. I'm not a fan of Tootsie Toys but $5 for all 28 pieces I couldn't leave them behind. I guess I'm a Tootsie Toy collector now...great, lol.
And just got the mate to the wrecker l posted last time. Still in the original box. Car came with it.
I like car haulers and tow trucks. Sometimes I create them from broken diecast vehicles and spare parts. Here are some I added to my collection the last few years.
Good Tuesday to ya. I haven't been on the HAMB much lately. I just been playing with the grandkids, and hanging 10 with Rat Fink.
While searching Deora stuff I came across this site. https://hotwheels.fandom.com/wiki/Hot_Wheels When I was a kid, I just wanted the cool ones. I had a phase where I tried to get most of the new ones each year. I never got really deep into the treasure hunts and having every variation and goofs, but I know some do. This might be useful for some of you.
Posting a bit early this week. Found in a box of old built model cars(five bux for the box of 17 cars.). Made by Johnny Lightning in about 1/24th scale: 1939 American Bantam in Coca Cola livery.
Got a 57 Chevy convertible that needed restoration in a Franklin and Danbury Mint diecast collection I found last month. I could not save the trunk deck, so I decided to turn the car into an ElCamino. Made a custom top from spare model car parts and was able to save some of the diecast trunk deck to make the tailgate. I now have completed my own diecast Tri-5 customs which includes the 56 Franklin Mint version of my real car.
Great job Ray. I wish that Chevy would have made the tri- five Elcaminos. Great job on your 56! I love it. I don't think they make an 1/18 scale 56 Nomad either? So I tryed making my own. I didnt spend as much time on it as I should have. Your El caminos turned out great. Thanks Ron....
An aluminum Deuce truck about 1/18th scale; maker unknown. Part of a diorama trophy from 2007. Gifted to me by an old friend. EDIT: Found out it is from JADA series called D-RODS.
