Technical Difference in Paints. 1k and 2k enamels, base, urethanes etc

EXCELLENT. Just had this question in class and the instructor gave conflicting info.

 

What was the conflicting info?

 

Does gloss percentage effect durability in non-metallic polyurethanes? My project is all powder coat other than the body panels (easier to change color if needed), it's a darker matte/egg shell/satin. Some panels are steel, some aluminum, if that matters. Will have a shop do the work.
