grills, hoods, front fenders, rear fenders, dash waterfall, tail light stands, spare tire cover, lights, horn panels, wheels, hubcaps, rear hubs/drums............there's more too. If you are looking into one, get the ford clubs book. http://www.earlyfordv8.org/store-products.cfm?id=2
Both are one year only body styles, and in my humble opinion two of the most beautiful models Ford ever produced. You can't go wrong with either one.
They are so much the same and different at the same time ! I am partial to the 36.. only because that is what I ended up with by chance, twice
there are some small differences in the body between `35 and `36 , but they wouldn't make any difference to anyone except in a 100 point restoration. cowl sides are slightly different. there is also differences in the inner doors where the door opening handle is the `36 in my avatar is actually a `35 body with `36 front sheet metal and rear fenders.
the x on the cowl was a 36 only thing I thought, however, I think that they made that body style in mid to late production of the 35 cause there are alot of 35's with the x as well.
The essential differences are the grille and the fenders. In my opinion '35s look best done as hot rods, and '36s are better for customs. This was my '36, done both ways: DRD57 photo
