Not a whole lot i think the turn markers are diff. Once was a thread with all of the diff. listed. Its on here somewhere.
Easy key spotting differences are the front turn signals and the gas cap. The front turn signals are at the points of the grill in 49 and separate square pieces between the bumper and grill on the 50. 49 has a regular gas cap while the 50 has a filler door with the cap hidden under that.
Hey, '49s had pull type door handles, not ****on type. '49s had the letters FORD above the grille ''spinner'' on the hood panel. The gas filler, as pointed out was not enclosed by a door on the lt. quarter. The '49 had a different deck lin lock than the '50 & '51. '49 had a stand up hood/radiator emblem, '50 didn't. S****ey Devils C.C. "Spending A Nation Into Generational Debt Is Not An Act Of Comp***ion!"
I think if you do your research the ads read "Fifty new things for '50".. So Ford made a lot of changes a lot of which you couldn't see.
And in 51 the announced 51 changes, clever advertising much like volkswagen used to brag about number of improvements from year to year in the 60s,
Late 49's had a long extruded line in rear bumper, between the guards, front marker lights were at the bottom of grill line on 50's, 49's were at center, each end like pencil tips. Early 49's had 16" wheels, late 49's & 50's had 15" wheels.------Don
