Differences in hot rolled and cold rolled sheet steel?

    Aluminum is added to the molten steel, but it is not part of the final product. The aluminum reacts with oxygen and shields the steel during the pour. Makes a more consistent product.

    I picked up a sheet of cold rolled 20 ga steel. I found a place that sold a 4x10 sheet of CR cheaper than the 4x8 sheet of HR.
