Dirty2 Sedan in for big Changes

Gordon, The stock subrails are still attached to the body and the front mount is till there also. We will just have to attach back inbetween. The body (shell) has the stock holes still in it on the edges. Would love a stock firewall but will probably have to settle for a flat engined turned piece. Gonna still be everthing the same on the car except the motor, frame , and the heavy channell.

 

This car has been one of my favorites from the first time I saw it. I know the next version will just enhance its current state of cool.

I'm looking into building a jig of my own and have a couple questions about your jig. It looks like you bolt the rails in at the spreader bars and use the destaco hook clamps in the holes on the top framerail. Is this correct? Am I missing any other bolting areas? Have you had any problems with it moving around while pushing and pulling on it with just those clamps? Also, on the front spreader mount brackets, there is a piece of tube welded on the top, parallel to the frame horn. One side has an eyebolt in it. What is this used for? Any other tips while I'm designing my jig? Thanks!

Please keep us posted on the rear suspension set-up, how you do it, & how it works out. I have the same pile of parts waiting to go in a '32 ch***is.

This is a old Duece Factory Frame table. It is designed for stock frames with the small holes in the bottom of the rails. I never tried to set my new ASR in it to see if it would work. The pin hoiles in the bottom lign up with pin holes on the table keeping the bottom from moving. I did add some additional C-Clamps to parts of it though. The tube on the front I dont know what it was originally for. Maybe a string to check lengths etc. It is good bit it need some TLC. It is way to big for me to keep around my shop. I would make one straight off the Wescott Drawing which I am doing on my new one. This table is set up to build frames from 1932-1940
