So I have my 1950 Plymouth off the road right now because of a brake failure in the front. So I went to the back of my garage and grabbed the disc brake conversion kit I'd ordered from Plydo ages ago, but hadn't had time to throw in. As I've not yet hooked this thing up yet, but the directions are vague at best. My question is, does the hub rotate around the spacer? If they do, do the spacers below look like they could be cleaned up and used? John
I used the Plydo kit on the front of my '40 Plymouth 10 years ago, so this info is from memory. I drove the bearing spacer you show down on the spindle with a piece of water pipe, till it bottoms out on the spindle. This spacer will accept the inner wheel bearing and grease seal and rotor from a second gen Camaro. Then the Camaro outer wheel bearing fits the Plymouth spindle, and i re-used the Plymouth castle nut. I felt it was a good kit with good results. I would polish your spacer with a Scotch Brite Pad and use it.
