I am converting a 10 bolt chevy rear to discs, the parts all came off another 10 bolt. easy swap.originally one caliper is in front the other behind axle.Is this better than both calipers front or rear.and is there any difference in performance or the way the car reacts to braking? I am using a triangulated 4-link and coil overs behind axle if it matters.
one was backwards from the factory. long cable looped around to it. this is the reason would like to change it.
bleeders up, parking brake cable connections where you can get a cable to them, the rest doesn't really matter.
The factory used one in front and one in back so they would only need one part number. Either caliper can be left or right side.
Make sure the calipers don't foul on anything and clear the frame etc, allow for suspension travel. I've seen others install them and then find out later they failed to plan ahead and had to revisit installation.
the late model firebirds and trucks been doing this for years with no problems , my O/t truck has the offset calipers and they are not "stock " other than the parts used ( off a 2013 express van ) and there is a place that will make the custom cables like stock http://www.controlcables.com/parking-brake-cables-1/ they do quality work
