Now I know the 75-80 ford granada spindle/disc brake swap is wildly popular for the early mustang guys but damn is it hard to find a granada donor on the central east coast!

After alot of "online" puter research I finally figured out the same swap will work on my 63 Fairlane. Using granada spindles, drag link, tie rod ends and 74 merc m/c.

This didnt seem out of the realm of my wrenchin abilities (shade tree at best!). But trying to find the spindles have me pullin whats left of my hair out.

Any clue where to get 75-80 granada disc brake spindles? Any and all help is appreciated.

Up dated on "oliver".....remember the wife named it!
I have most of the metal work done and its in a buddys shop getting a few coats of filler. Then primed and flat black with Hot Rod Flatzs paint. Cant wait to drop the 95 302 in her, put the Spyder caps on the painted rims and get it thru inspection!

You can also use 75-77 maverick/comet spindles, they are the same as the granada ones.

He's on this board too. Top notch product, stellar service and support. Modern, inexpensive, off-t******lf OEM parts, except for brackets and spacers. Easy serviceability.

I have not done it myself, but I have been told they do back to '54. I have also been told of bump steer issue as well. I'm relatively sure that scarebird offers a conversion for these as well though, and having donetwo cars with his kits now, I'd take that any day.

I just had a bad F-Bay experience on this topic (thankfully I won and am getting a full refund). I have a 63 Falcon and wanted to do the Granada swap. The guy had a listing for 77 Granada spindles/brakes, etc. that turned out to be 74-78 Torono/Cougar/Montego/LTD parts and then he denied they were wrong and accused me of trying to rip him off. They look very similar but the geometry is different, and the lower ball joint is much larger (even larger than the Lincoln Versailles ball joint).

Make sure you get part casting numbers and verify the parts interchange.

The scarebird parts look excellent. Have checked out the web site and im very impressed with their adapters and the amount of research they have done with the comprehensive parts list.
Gonna order the parts this week. Will keep everyone updated on the results. If I could figure out how to post pics!

If you are measuring 4.25 between center to center of "opposite" lug holes,,,,,,, that is a 4.5" pattern.

The pic below shows how to measure a 5 lug pattern.

No, lug patterns are measured center to outer edge.

Another source for brake swaps is CSRP. I couldn't be more pleased with the products and customer service.
