nope I'm not giving tech info but requesting. Sorry, one of these days I'll be able to contribute something back to the HAMB but for now I really need some info. I've looked at disc brake kits from MP, ECI, etc but money it tight and I'm hoping someone can help me with doing it on the cheaper side. How about wrecking yard parts or from auto parts stores. This is for my 49 shoebox, stock suspension with 302/C4. I want front disc. It's my daily driver and need to get it back on the road ASAP. Thanks everyone!

Stock suspension upgrades are tricky...but I think Jamco Engineering in CA has something for you.

    Hey EJoe,
I need to do a GM rotor on an A spindle. Is a GM intermediate that the high zoot guys use?

    Just hoped you'd know.

Uh sorry to rob the post Ham.

  6. Question regarding the AMC rotor swap.. is the "spacer" the same thing as a "race" for the inner bearing to ride on or does it really mean spacer washer?

The AMC bearing fits the spindle, but the spindle bolt is too long. So you have to have a spacer, about 3/8" thick, the same OD as the AMC seal ID. Kills two birds with one stone.

  8. Very interesting I wonder if the A bone spindle is the same diameter as the 37-39 Ford spindle?
