Ahhh, I got an Edelbrock headed 368 for that... the 318 is just one more thing I'll have to move in May... Jay
Different? Maybe. Buit not around here abouts. Well, maybe here, too. But there is a really nice 28 Chebby Coupe running around this neck of the woods with a (shudder) V-6 Tord and C-4. In the State of Washington, there is a 1957 Olds Holiday(RED) with a 429 Ford and C-6. Why would any ruin a nice car with a Ford engine? Jim
My ultimate future project dream is a Chevy Fleetline with a Merc Flatty in it. Shhh, don't tell anybody!
Its about time people stopped puttin chebbie engines in EVERYTHING, good to hear about fords in other stuff, the only way to go!
Actually, it's been done. My gramps had one when I wuz a Pup! He built it in 54. Wish I had a pic. Then the next year Chebby came out with the SBC and history was made. Don't worry about your engine choice. Remember back in 1970 they laughed at the Volksrod! Come to think of it, they're STILL laughing at the Volksrod!......Uh..... Nevermind.
Yeah! In a hobby like this, especially with so much fabrication involved, I don't understand why the small block Chevy seems to be the norm! We are just about finished with a slant 6 into a 50 dodge see-dan swap, have it in, mounted, and crankin'. A driveshaft will make it mobile... I like the oddball swaps, and with the zillions of different engines out there, I don't know why more people aren't doing wierd stuff.
Is it just me, or is Fat Hack a more...politically-correct, non-offensive, and less-caps using version of another HAMBer on here that comes to mind...?
Also...on the weird-engine-to-car topic... I have fantasies about a 460 Lincoln powered Mazda Miata...anyone have a totalled Miata I could buy cheap? I have the motor waiting...all I need is the car now. Sort of an "East Meets West" thing. Fat Hack isn't the only "weirdo" out there.
