Is there anything in the junkyards that is an easy swap? I know kits are available, but is there another answer?
    Thanks

I read somewhere that Torino spindles will fit. '69, I believe, was the ones the guy used.

I forgot to put the prerequisit statement in the first post. "I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for".

Granada Spindles will work. You need to ream the ball joint holes to a different angle.

The Ford ball joint pin tapers are 1-1/2" per foot - about 7°. There is a "small pin" and a "large pin" version - but the angle is the same. The Granada spindle has a small pin mount in both the upper and lower ball joint positions. The Lincoln Versailles disc brake spindle has the same general arrangement as the Granada - but is built for the large pin lower taper. Makes it a favorite for use on the mid to late fifties Fords - its the one to find.

The Granada/Versailles spindle centerline is raised about an inch - a little higher above the lower ball joint pin than the fifties parts (sixties too). This seems to have been done to get some extra clearance between the upper ball joint and wheel rim when using 14's. The effect of using it on the older car is to lower the ride height.
