Hi - appreciate the dimensions of Model As has been discussed (a lot) but was after some fairly easy info. I've bought a 1929 Model A pickup that has been seriously messed about with in the roof area (a pretty poor metal frame/skin added). Nothing seems square now - so my questions are: 1. Is the door side of the A pillar meant to be square to the sub frame and straight from top to bottom? 2. What is the distance between the A and B Pillar (the gap the door fits in) and is it uniform top to bottom? The drivers a Pillar leans towards the rear of the car on the top half, and the distance between the A and B pillar is 725mm at the bottom but 710 at the top.
The back edge of the A pillar should be straight. Can you put a long rod through all hinges at the same time?
That's just some home made or hardware store hinge. I wouldn't worry about its position as you'll need to replace it. TBH, without seeing a wider photo we can't really tell what sort of craziness is happening to your truck cab. I'm guessing that everything from the cowl upward is home made - not just the roof.
