I was going to buy a set myself for my coupe but decided to make IMG_1262.JPG IMG_1234.JPG IMG_0869.JPG pair of 18" 40 Ford rims from hoops and 16' centers. I like the look of matching my fronts. Was not easy. I used 18" Excelsior tires for mine.(not cheap) I may have to buy tubes as I seem to be losing air somewhere.

Looking at these for my project. can only find them at Summit for $290 a piece now. My web-browser is blocking the Allamericanwheel.com web-site is that still good? Looks like E-stopp now but they don't list these on their web-site. Where is everyone else finding these wheels for sale?

It used to be $290 for a pair of wheels. You might want to call and check that out. I believe it's for 2 wheels.

Unfortunately it looks like that is the price for each "wheel" and that's too damn much!

The add says "Wheel, 18x4.5 Milk Truck Wheels"
I ordered them today. The technical****istant told me they were definately priced as a PAIR. I asked twice. I ordered both 18 x 5.5 and 18 x 4.5 sets. They are currently backordered until January 7th, 2019. I am not in a hurry. I just hope they company is still making them, and they are not permanently backordered.

That's great news! The description sure is misleading though. Let us know when you get them and if everything came though OK. I wonder if they will offer the other bolt patterns like they did before.

I did some more checking and it looks like they have them in the 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern too, along with the lug nuts.

Nowhere on the Summit site does it say it's a pair of wheels. If the sales rep told you it was a pair, I'd get that in writing so you don't have to pay return shipping on your single wheels.

The $290 for one wheel isn't real expensive......but $145 seems like a real bargain!
I'm betting the $290 is for just 1 wheel.

Just got off the phone with Summit again. I have in writing (e-mail) from the service****ociate that the price is per PAIR. They called the vendor directly to confirm. Still had no ETA on when they would receive them due to being back-ordered. The date switched to Jan. 8th, 2019 today for some reason. ****ociate said this date can fluctuate earlier or later. I also ordered 5 sets of lug nuts. 1 set is 5 lug nuts. So I will have 25 Lug nuts. I hate to try and find a replacement if I loose 1. I would think they would be a lot better seller for Summit if they made it more clear the price is per pair.

No, I listed what Summit has in a previous post above: 5 on 5 1/2" and 5 on 4 1/2". If you contact E-Stopp directly they may be able to drill you a 8 bolt pattern. I suspect that is what they do for Summit when you order, they drill the bolt pattern that's ordered, hence the long lead time to get them.

Great.:( Looks like another permanently backordered item from Summit (it's happened to me before) I will update when I find out. So far they moved the date up to January 2nd. But as stated before I was told that could fluctuate.

So far the expected date of arrival at Summit is staying the same. Jan. 2nd. So I have 2 more days. I am kind of curious myself. The last time an Item I ordered from them that was on back order was suppose to ship on a certain date, and the evening before it got pushed out another 4 weeks. At which point I cancelled the order. They could be doing that forever. I will update once they move the date out or I get noticed that they shipped.

Currently the Summit website shows a ship date for those wheels of 1/28/19.

Maybe if enough people order through Summit that will encourage another run to be made.

One might think that if the wheels sold out, it would mean that it's a good idea to do another run. Surely the second run will cost less per wheel, since the development costs are already paid. And the wheels seem popular enough.

I ordered the 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern. Both of those sizes show a ship date of tomorrow. I hope it holds out. The one thing I like about Summit is over $99 there is usually no shipping charge. Funny thing is the Lug nuts are suppose to ship seperate on the 9th,

  30. I placed an order for these wheels. Summit contacted the seller and confirmed that these wheels are sold as pairs. they expect to Ship 1/9/2019, we will see what happens.

does the standard 40 type hub cap fit these wheels?
did anyone try to install 18" trim rings on these?
