So, I was recently spending some time online looking up electronics-related projects that can be done with microwave oven parts... and saw that one of the DIY projects that can be done is a spot-welder, using the MOT (microwave oven transformer)... This piqued my interest, so I'm posting here to see what great DIY shop equipment projects you guys have done. I'm personally interested in things that utilize electrical/electronic components, and would love to get info on how to make electroplating/stripping equipment, but let's make this thread of interest for everyone... any kind of shop equipment at all, even if it is just jigs/fixtures for other existing machines... Post your homebrewed/DIY/homemade shop equipment of any kind! And construction details/tips are a bonus here! OK, here we go... could be a great thread! (sorry I do not have any of my own projects to share at the moment) Anyone?
