Alright i've got a 55 plymouth v8 241 early poly head NOT the LA series poly, now would a later (and easily found) 318 LA dizzy work? if not any body know whare i can get a points eliminator kit for mine?
On my old 277 poly, I use to have a 318 LA mallory unilite.... If I remember correctly, you must change the oil pump drive shaft! Hope this help..
I've got a Mopar Performance Electronic dizzy from a LA318 on my poly 318 and it fitted straight on. The early polys are different to the 318's tho cos they have a separate valley cover, maybe the centerline of crank to top of block is lower which could be if Cheaters Pete changed his oil pump drive, or you may have to shorten the dizzy shaft.
