I am looking all over for wheels that will fit different axles, and will work on my model a. I see a LOT of the 32 wire wheels for CHEAP. I can pick up a set for next to nothing. Do these wheels need tire tubes? What is the widest tire I can fit on these wheels? Can I get all the info on these wheels?

    Thanks

Well--are there any tires available in 18Xnarrow that are tubeless??
Spokes in these things are welded, but there are most likely plenty of minute crevices. If any spokes are beginning to fail at their weldments, those crevices would be very hard to seal (or locate to seal) with any permanence...
If you could find a set without severe pitting in bead areas, without damage from hitting curbs, and with 100% sound spoke welds, I suspect they would seal after a good coat of paint or perhaps some better sealant over the spoke roots. But I do doubt there are any tubeless 18" tires anywhere near that size.

I haven't been able to find a tubeless valve stem to fit the larger hole in the old rims.

one of the biggest reasons I wouldn't run a tubeless tire on a rim not designed for it is that there is no safety bead for the tired "pop" onto. this holds the tire on the rim in case you get a flat.
