I run lake pipes and there is no room for a baffle or glass packs. I was told by another neighbor that was talking to him the other day. His compliants about my car is that it is a eyesore to look at and that it's to loud.

So it's like I said. They wish to force their will on you cuz they don't like YOUR car. You could baffle the lakes several different ways. May save you a lot of grief from other sources some day. You really should wait for the letter. For all you know the fucker that told you is havin it done. Either way, it's really easy to be a dickhead AND a good citizen at the same time. And all the dead dogs in the world can't top that.

When the city told us years ago we couldn't have our 36 Buick, dad told the cops and city inspector that he wanted every boat, camper, motorhome, golf club, and bowling ball removed from the community. "Fair is fair..." as he put it. He was absolutely right. We then got a permit for an oversized garage from the city and never looked back. Just one example of being a dickhead and a proper citizen.

That car is no eyesore, it's damn nice looking. If it was some P.O.S. beater in a pile on the driveway, then maybe....but just because it's 50 years old doesn't mean they have a right to complain about it.

Now if it really is too noisy, well then hey...maybe you should be more considerate of others and do somethin about it.

Seriously, just go and talk with them - calmly, rationally & reasonably - don't let yourself get flustered even IF they do get nasty - no matter what, don't let yourself get heated, that will give them the upper hand. If necessary, just calmly suggest to them that if they don't cool it with the bogus complaints, you will pursue having animal control deal with their noisy pugs. Trust me...it'll be the last complaint you hear from them.

Find a Lawyer....... it may cost $50-$100. Have the Lawyer send them a letter stating that if they continue ...you will Sue for harassment............. usually scares them off........

Sound like a noise issue with the neighbor.

I'm thinking they have the right to kiss your ass if they think your car is an eyesore, I'm also thinking that you have the right to run a legal exhaust system.

Reality you have an ass of a neighbor, but!!! he has the law on his side if the pipes are louder than law allows and it is currently unlicensed. It is a very big mountain you are climbing, impossible to reach the top. License the car, find some electric cut-outs, have the suggested block party and don't invite the neighbor.
