My truck is Volare, it handles, it rides great, and has better power-steering than my 2008 Dodge Magnum. However I did have to put FatMan dropped spindles to get it to ride better and crank it low. The spindles are about $500.00 a set.
If I were to do it all over again I would go with the Mustang front-end. Just for the availability of parts, and giving you plenty of room in the engine compartment. The Volare is a little tight, if you are running a Ford Engine (Oil Filter) you have to get an adapter from Ford Racing in order to get enough clearence. Best of Luck to you, and if you are building a driver your not going to get away cheap!

I am using a early 70's chev frame under my 52 and calling it a day. On these trucks I have heard about every damn front end on them even 77 mercury marquis. Radshits f1 is slammed as fck but I just purchased a whole 73 nova for 300bucks so stering column pedals the whole shabang is goin on my truck. Powered by a 302 and c4 trans..

  3. Ok I'll chime in for the volare team. Mine cost like $100 and the install was simple. Brewsir ran this frontend in the Batfink for like 90k miles and went from Cal to Texas a couple of times. I do need to step up and buy the spindles but 500 is out of my reach for a while and it really rides pretty nice this low with out them. Remember its not just volare either cordoba aspen diplomat and 5th avenue up into the 80's I believe are the same frontend. This subject has been covered a lot on here do a little searching you find the right one for you. Good luck
